The Samaritan Inn is more than just a place to spend the night. It is a comprehensive program that teaches self-sufficiency and life skills to meet the needs of individuals and families experiencing homelessness. We help willing people gain dignity and independence. On average, we have approximately 160 residents living at the Inn, a third of which are children.
The Samaritan Inn provides, at no cost, a secure and clean place to live for men, women, and families. For our youngest residents we have a play room and fully equipped outdoor playground. We serve three well balanced meals daily and provide personal hygiene products. Within this nurturing environment, professional caseworkers assess each resident and his/her needs to develop an individual plan with a goal of independence. Referrals are made for support programs such as legal and financial counseling, mental and physical health services. We provide classes in a variety of life skills such as parenting, budgeting, job training, computer skills and customer service among others. Residents who "graduate" from The Samaritan Inn receive all the necessary items to set up their own households and ongoing support is provided, for as long as necessary, to ensure long-term, permanent independence.
Your financial support will provide all of these outstanding programs and services to our residents and makes a life long impact on our residents.
